Topic: How to Leverage GARP and other Standards to Gain Support for and Improve Records Management Programs
This will be a presentation on GARP and the use of standards in developing and supporting good information governance practices. Mary will cover some general best practices related to management of “unstructured” information which includes SharePoint and other collaboration/record sites as well as email and shared drives.

Mary believes strongly that Records Managers must not only know how to manage records and information, but they must also be strong communicators, marketers and leaders who work in partnership with others. Since change management is a big component of a modern Records Manager’s portfolio, it is useful to know how to leverage external benchmarks through the use of established standards from credible sources to gain support from stakeholders.
