WHAT IS ARMA ALL ABOUT?

ARMA International is a not-for-profit association and the leading authority on managing records and information paper and electronic.

The association was established in 1955. Its 11,000-plus members include records managers, archivists, corporate librarians, imaging specialists, legal professionals, IT managers, consultants, and educators, all of whom work in a wide variety of industries, including government, legal, healthcare, financial services, and petroleum in the United States, Canada, and 30-plus other countries.

The association also develops and publishes standards and guidelines related to records management. It was a key contributor to the international records management standard, ISO-15489.

WHAT CAN ARMA AUSTIN CHAPTER OFFER?

  1. Informative monthly Chapter Meetings. 
  2. The Austin Chapter normally meets every third Tuesday of the month. Check the Calendar of Events to specific info.
  3. Free to ARMA Members and first time guests, $5 Non-Members and for Students. 
  4. Door Prizes are given at every chapter meeting. 
  5. The subjects selected are valuable to the records profession. Subjects are targeting the latest and most innovative information for the maintenance of a Record Management Program. 
  6. The speakers selected are highly qualified and experts in the field. 
  7. Members Only contests and prizes for Chapter Participation. This year we are having an Attendance Contest. The winner will win a paid registration to the ARMA International Annual Conference. 
  8. Quarterly Newsletters that keep you up-to-date on all the latest information going on with the ARMA Austin Chapter.
